Blue...

Over at I heart Faces this week the theme is Blue. I'm busy with the move but as soon as I heard the theme I had to post this picture, I immediately thought of my family shoot with the Curtis's last week. At the end of the shoot for being so good sweet lily was rewarded with some ice cream. I thought this would be a perfect last photo opt for our Balboa carnival/beach themed session. I love Lily's parents for getting her Bubblegum Blue Ice Cream. What better color for photos. I joked that when my kids get ice cream there favorite flavor becomes vanilla or coconut so the mess is minimal! Thanks Curtis's for being so Brave!!! This was my favorite shot of the day for sure!

So the "green" movement is huge. I think its wonderful the steps people and companies are making to be nicer to planet earth and in many cases our pocket books as well. However this might have gone a little far....

One a Days

As most of you know I am moving to Colorado. I have been extra busy lately packing up and wrapping up my summer work. As a result the poor blog had been neglected or at the very most posts have been thrown up at the last minute. Oh and its about to get worse with my trip to Utah next week and moving into our new place week after that.

So here's what I thought to do about this problem-o, I'll set the blog up to give you one photo a day automatically for about a month. Thank you Blogger for allowing the post date to be set!

Today's photo was one I was working on this morning and I just feel in love. She is so wise beyond her years. What a doll.

Maternity

Jana and William are pregnant with their first baby. They are just the cutest couple. I love feeling the exicitment of the parents in maternity sessions. Just pure Joy. I love it love it!

Jana and William are both amazing architects so we shot at there home to take advantage of a super cool colored wall and Williams awesome patio design handy work.







I love this shot but can't take any credit for this, this was all Jana's idea. I love it and will probally use it again. Your Awesome Jana!



Jana had family in town so while we were shooting they were outside with her niece playing. We joined them for a few frames.

Sneak Peak

I'm so lucky, I always get the best brides and grooms. These two were no exceptions. They were easy going, exicited to be together, fun loving and beautiful! Can't wait to show you more!

Rejuvenation

Group shots at weddings are tricky. I'm guilty of glancing over the creative aspect of the large shots and just want to get them done. Logistically it can be very difficult to get everyone together and happy. I dread having to "shout" so everyone can hear me. "squish together and everyone at me!" It's a bad first impression of my personality. These shots also aren't regarded as the blog worthy award winning photos. You just do them so you can move on to the fun sweetheart photos. I always struggle with this because I want every image to reflect the personality of the couple and the excitement of the day and to reflect my vision and style as well. I need to say Thank you to the girl in the front row who rejuvenated me. She reminded me that everything around me is art and even the ordinary, must have shots can be special and frame worthy. Thank you sweet lady!
This next photo I like alot too. I know you all think I'm crazy when I say "everyone shout yay like this" (with my arm in the air). I see the speculation of insanity in your eyes, but I do it at every wedding anyways cause I love what it produces. Every persons response reflects their personality and each individual face reflects a different expression. I love it!

Blissful Beauty

Is what this family has, they just make it all look to easy. The boys were dolls and the parents we're so fun and easy going. The beach was so crowded this day but we mangaged to make it all work out. I love these!
